Bramework Google Analytics & Search Console Integration Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting your Google Analytics and Google Search Console to Bramework.

This integration enables AI-powered insights and analytics features to help you understand and improve your website's performance.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • A Bramework account (Owner access required for integrations)

  • Admin access to your Google Analytics property

  • Verified ownership of your website in Google Search Console

  • A subscription plan that includes analytics features (or active trial)

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations

1. Log in to your Bramework account

2. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner

3. From the dropdown menu, select "Integrations"

Note: This option is only visible to account owners

Step 2: Connect Google Analytics & Search Console

On the Integrations page, you'll see three integration options:

1. Locate the "Connect Google Analytics & Search Console" button (blue button with globe icon)

2. Click the button to start the connection process

Note: If the button appears disabled (grayed out), you'll see the message: "Upgrade your plan to connect Google Analytics & Search Console and unlock AI-powered insights." This means you need to upgrade your subscription to access this feature.

Step 3: Authorize Google Access

After clicking connect, you'll be redirected to Google's authorization page:

1. Sign in to your Google account (use the account that has access to your Analytics and Search Console)

2. Review the permissions Bramework is requesting:

  • View your Google Analytics data

  • View your Search Console data and metadata

  • View your basic profile information

3. Click "Allow" to grant access

You'll automatically be redirected back to Bramework's Integrations page.

Step 4: Verify Connection

Once back in Bramework:

1. The button should now show "Disconnect Google Account" in red

2. You'll see your connected Google account email displayed

3. Your Google Analytics and Search Console data will begin syncing

Initial sync may take 15-30 minutes. You can proceed to set up your analytics while data syncs in the background.

Step 5: Access Your Analytics Dashboard

From Your Project Dashboard

1. Navigate to Dashboard in the left sidebar

2. Select your project

3. In the project header, look for the toggle button (chart icon)

4. Click to switch to "Analytics Dashboard"

Step 6: Generate AI Insights

Once in your Analytics Dashboard:

Finding the Generate Insights Feature

1. Look for the "AI Insights" section

2. You'll see a purple button with a sparkle icon (✨) labeled "Generate New Insights"

Generating Your First Insights

1. Click "Generate New Insights"

2. The button will show "Generating..." with a spinning animation

3. Wait 1-2 minutes for AI to analyze your data

4. New insights will appear as cards below

Understanding Insight Cards

Each insight card displays:

  • Type indicator: Color-coded icon showing insight category

    • 🟒 Green = Performance insights

    • πŸ”΅ Blue = Content insights

    • 🟣 Purple = SEO insights

    • 🟠 Orange = Engagement insights

  • "New" badge: Appears on unread insights

  • Title: Brief description of the insight

  • Summary: 2-3 sentences explaining the finding

  • Key Recommendations: Actionable steps with bullet points

  • Expected Impact: Green badges showing potential improvements

Managing Insights

For each insight, you can:

  • Mark as read: Click the purple "Mark as read" link (removes "New" badge)

  • Mark as implemented: Click green "Mark as implemented" after taking action

  • Delete: Click red "Delete" to remove insights you don't need

  • Expand details: Click "Show more" to see full analysis

Step 7: Using Nova Analytics Chat

Accessing Nova Analytics

Look for the purple chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of your Analytics

Dashboard:

  • Shows Nova icon with a green online indicator

  • Hover to see "Chat with Nova Analytics" tooltip

Starting a Conversation

1. Click the chat bubble to open Nova Analytics

2. The chat window expands showing:

  • Purple header with "Nova Analytics - AI-Powered Insights Assistant"

  • Chat conversation area

  • Text input field at bottom

Asking Questions

Type your questions naturally, for example:

  • "What are my top performing pages?"

  • "How has my traffic changed this month?"

  • "Which keywords drive the most clicks?"

  • "Why did my bounce rate increase?"

Quick Actions

Use the quick action buttons for common queries:

  • "Top Pages" - See your most visited content

  • "Traffic Trends" - Analyze visitor patterns

  • "SEO Tips" - Get optimization recommendations

Chat Features

  • Minimize: Click the down arrow (βŒ„) to minimize the chat

  • Conversation history: Scroll up to see previous messages

  • Context-aware: Nova remembers your conversation context

  • Real-time data: Responses based on your current analytics

Understanding Your Analytics Features

Main Dashboard Sections

1. Metrics Overview

  • Sessions, Page Views, Users, Bounce Rate

  • Toggle between Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, etc.

  • Individual refresh buttons for each metric

2. Top Pages

  • Shows your most visited pages with view counts

  • Sortable by different metrics

3. Search Performance

  • Top search queries from Google

  • Click-through rates and impressions

  • Average position tracking

4. AI Insights Section

  • Generated insights appear here

  • Badge shows count of unread insights

  • Empty state guides you to generate first insights

Best Practices

For Optimal Results:

1. Wait for sufficient data: Allow at least 30 days of data before generating insights

2. Regular insight generation: Generate new insights weekly or after major changes

3. Act on recommendations: Mark insights as implemented to track progress

4. Use Nova for clarification: Ask follow-up questions about insights

Managing AI Word Usage:

  • Each insight generation uses AI words (3x multiplier)

  • Nova Analytics responses also consume AI words (3x multiplier)

  • Monitor usage in Account Settings

  • Prioritize high-value questions and insights

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

"Connect" button is disabled:

  • Upgrade your subscription plan

  • Ensure you're logged in as the account owner

No data showing after connection:

  • Wait 24-48 hours for initial data sync

  • Verify Google Analytics is properly installed on your website

  • Check that your Search Console property is verified

"Generate Insights" not working:

  • Ensure you have at least 30 days of analytics data

  • Check your AI word balance in account settings

  • Try refreshing the page

Nova Analytics not responding:

  • Check your internet connection

  • Ensure you have remaining AI words

  • Try closing and reopening the chat

Disconnecting Integration

If you need to disconnect:

1. Go to profile menu β†’ Integrations

2. Click "Disconnect Google Account" (red button)

3. Confirm disconnection

4. Your data will be retained but won't update

Privacy & Security

  • Bramework only accesses analytics data in read-only mode

  • No changes are made to your Google accounts

  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest

  • You can revoke access anytime from Google Account settings

  • Compliant with GDPR and privacy regulations
